The Meierhof of castle of Kornberg, built in 1872 by the great-grandfather of the consul Mag. Andreas Bardeau, around 1900 the production site for the Kornberger cheese, has taken on a new function. Today the medieval wooden gate opened to the way into “the small world of the big castles”. A permanent exhibition that uses light technology to make the miniature replicas of 15 well-known European castles in 6 languages tangible. The king and the queen, well guarded by the knights to Riegersburg, are the eye-catcher at the entrance portal. Today at first light covered with a snow cap, all scurry past in the warm room. Coffee fragrance from the company Maitz, roasted in the region, as a debut Vulcano bites and lava brew. No wonder that with such culinary neighbors and regional geological conditions of over 40 volcanic cones, Vulcanja – the jester at the entrance to the exhibition addresses words to the guests. We are looking forward to an additional program for our customer programs and the guests of Sonnenhaus Grandl have “new things” to discover on foot. Visits are possible from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 18:00.
